Want It Wednesday

//one//   //two//   //three//

I have a couple of items on my wish-list from BaubleBar this Wednesday. I've only heard (and seen) good things about BaubleBar but for some reason I've never bought anything. I may have to pull the trigger soon. They have awesome prices (the necklace is only $36!!!) and the quality seems to be really great. Among the great quality and prices, I really need to add some more statement jewelry to my collection. I went through a period of time where I only bought/wore dainty and delicate jewelry but I think it's time to broaden my horizons. Hope you all have a great rest of your week!!

Want It Wednesday

Periwinkle and polka dots. What's not to love?

I'm not usually one to go for a shift dress but this Milly dress that's on sale is calling my name. I love the orange zipper in the back.

I've really been loving this orange/poppy color recently and I'm looking to add some pieces to my wardrobe in that color. I'm thinking that it could be the perfect pop of color for fall...perfect with boots and jeans. Plus I'm in the market for a Joie blouse so this shirt definitely fits the bill.

The Essentials {summer edition}

While summer (for most students at least) is wrapping up we technically still have almost a month left, according to the calendar. I love all four seasons for different reasons but summer is probably my number 1. I don't know if it's because I can wear all of my favorite Lilly patterns, the long sunny days, or because I don't have as much work to do but I do know that I adore summer. I rounded up my essentials for summer which include a lightweight tinted moisturizer, my favorite sandals, and of course plenty of monogrammed items.
1. My first essential has to be a good pair of sandals. Jack Rogers have been my go to sandals this summer. I've managed to collect three pairs just in the last 5 months. They are so versatile and I have a feeling i'll be wearing the Platinum ones above well into September and October.
2. The second essential is a good card holder. My Tory Burch cardholder is an item that I carry around with me daily. I love being able to just grab it when I'm on the go and have everything I need in it. It comfortably fits 5-10 cards and I can even squeeze a little bit of cash into it.
3. During all four seasons summer you can usually find me with my hair tossed up into a ponytail accompanied by a Mane Message hair tie. They have an amazing array of colors and patterns and really are quite inexpensive compared to many of my local boutiques. I love them...plain and simple.
4. A seasonal phone case is also a necessity. My monogrammed striped case is from Plum Street Prints, it looks great and surprisingly protects my phone pretty well! The only issue I have with the case is that it is super tough to get off.
5. I'm addicted to Burt's Bees. There is no way around it. I have about 5 next to my bed and 3-4 others scattered about my handbags and house. While Burt's isn't necessarily subjected to just summer I felt it was essential enough to include.
6. Bright nail polish is a must for summer. OPI's Cajun Shrimp is definitely my favorite end of summer color. It's bright enough for summer but the orange/red color is perfect to roll into fall.
7. I like to keep things light and fresh in summer and a tinted moisturizer is the perfect light-weight cover-up. True liquid foundation is way to heavy for 85+ degree weather so most of the time I slap on some Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer and head out the door. It's the perfect amount of coverage, plus it has 20 SPF which makes it even better!
8. Last but not least: my monogram necklace. While this is another item I wear all year round I wear it a ton in the summer. It's so perfect to go with Lilly dresses/skirts or with a simple Polo tee and chinos. A girl can never have too many monograms, right??

Weekend Round-up

{Got a pedicure using my favorite discontinued OPI polish: Cajun Shrimp}

{I was thinking about buying one of the Lilly Pulitzer planners but instead I picked up a new planner at Target and stuck a monogram on it, naturally}

{Cut some flowers from our knock-out rose bush}
can you tell I like mason jars?

{I got the inspiration for this DIY from this pin, I wasn't exactly happy with the way it turned out at first but the more I look at it the more I like it. Now I just have to find a place to hang it!}

Anchors away

Tee: J.Crew | Skirt: J.Crew Factory | Sandals: Jack Rogers | necklace: J.Crew Factory | Ring: Kate Spade | Watch: Fossil | Barrett: J.Crew Factory

We finally got a J.Crew factory in my town. Before if I wanted to visit a J.Crew Factory I would always have to find time during vacations (mostly while in Florida) to visit those crazed outlet malls. So having a factory store in close proximity to my house is such a blessing. This past weekend I headed out to our new outlet mall and found some great pieces on the clearance rack (they were such a steal). I'm a sucker for anything with anchors, sail boats, fish, etc. so when I saw this skirt I was sold. Hope y'all are having a great Monday!

weekend round-up

 {I finally got around to framing and hanging up this print I bought in London a couple months ago}

{Picked up a couple items from our new J.Crew Factory}

 {I tried to re-create a juice blend that I had from Raw and Juicy which consists of orange, grapefruit, and lemon juices. I have to say my concoction was pretty darn close}

 {I've always thought of myself as a pink person but in recent months I've really been loving blues. I picked up a couple pantone swatches while at my local home improvement store and have been dying over that capri blue swatch. Now I can't get enough of the color, I especially love it in this tunic.}
